The Garlic Project has been underway for some time and we're almost ready for planting. In this video we are completing some of the final tasks before planting over the next week. Tilling, amending soil, bed forming...and RUINING our field?!? I don't think it is ruined, but it was extremely wet and hard to work. At this point we have no option but to move forward! The summer came and went! We successfully grew a beautiful cover crop of peas and oats. They were cut down in August. Since that time, we mulched the cover crop, incorporated and then this happened....so many things can happen when farming! Watch through, we didn't expect this! Maybe its a blessing in disguise?!? June has been a great month for growing; recent rains have lead to great growth of our cover crop! Our soil test results were pretty bad! How is this cover crop growing so well?!?

Summer is coming and its time to plant garlic bulbil seedlings in their final home! Be sure to watch along...we have a great gardening hack for planting large amounts of garlic bulbils! After several months, the bulbils in our greenhouse are ready for hardening off. The exterior temperatures are now above 2 C daily and we have no frost forcasted for the next week! Its time to get these outside and prepare them for their final home.
