Overview: Join us for an immersive workshop designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement drip irrigation in their own garden. Whether you're a novice or seasoned gardener, this workshop offers you the opportunity to learn how to save time by using a tried and true irrigation technique which uses less water, targets the plants where they need it and cuts down on weed load.
The workshop will cover three main areas to make you a better grower:
General Skills:
Water Sources: Discussions around domestic and rain water systems.
Common components and fittings: Familiarize yourself with essential components of a drip system.
Component layout: Understand the importance of having a good layout so water is delivered effectively and efficiently. Understand the limitation of various drip setups and how layout affects water delivery.
Assembly Skills:Working with Drip components: Learn about the uses of many common drip components and how they might fit into your irrigation setup.
Assembly: We will work with some drip components to irrigate an area with multiple drip emitters and trunk lines.
General Knowledge:
Learn about basic fertigation using a drip system
Learn about basic upkeep, replacement of parts, and winterization.
