This grape most resembles a concord and appears to produce the sweetest and seemingly highest yield of seven varieties planted some twenty years ago. These were originally procured from a now shuttered grower from Northern Ontario, and have done well planted outdoors in our harsh Newfoundland climate. Plant next to a fence, or trellis and train as it matures. Consider applying a thick mulch around the root zone in winter to protect it in exposed locations or colder microclimates.
